Mitsui Leasing Blood Donation 2024: People Live When People Give
Blood donation is a simple yet meaningful act of humanity. Each drop of donated blood represents hope and a chance at life for those in need. With this spirit, PT Mitsui Leasing Capital Indonesia (MLCI) successfully organized the 2024 Blood Donation event on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at the MLCI Head Office, Plaza Bank Index, T Floor, Sakura Room. This initiative was aimed at supporting the fulfillment of the national blood supply and raising public awareness of the critical importance of blood donation.
Blood donation benefits not only the recipients but also the donors themselves. By donating blood, one can contribute to saving lives while promoting personal health through the regeneration of new blood cells. According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO), a country needs a blood supply equal to 2% of its population to meet medical demands.
During this event, blood type O was the most commonly donated. The detailed breakdown of donated blood is as follows:
Type of Bags | Blood Type | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
A | B | AB | O | Total | |
Double B | 3 | 7 | - | 5 | 15 |
Triple | 7 | 6 | 1 | 16 | 30 |
Triple TB | 2 | 2 | - | 7 | 11 |
Total Donor | 56 |
In collaboration with PMI, the blood donation process at the Mitsui Leasing Blood Donation 2024 event proceeded seamlessly. Of the 75 participants in attendance, 56 successfully donated blood, while 19 were unable to do so due to various health-related reasons.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the blood donors who participated in this event. Our sincere appreciation is also extended to PMI for their outstanding collaboration in ensuring the success of this event.
Through this initiative, we hope to raise public awareness about the importance of blood donation and inspire more individuals to participate in such meaningful social activities.
Mitsui Leasing is committed to continuing similar initiatives in the future, to ensure the fulfillment of the essential blood supply for patients in need of transfusions and to support ongoing public health efforts.
