Mitsui Leasing Donates Infrastructure Assets
to Orphanages in Jakarta

As part of its commitment to supporting community welfare, PT Mitsui Leasing Capital Indonesia (MLCI) carried out a Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSR) program by donating infrastructure assets to three orphanages in Jakarta.

The donation involved repurposing assets from the Gatot Subroto Branch, which were allocated to Al Andalusia Pela Orphanage, Nurul Hasanah Orphanage, and Muhammadiyah Orphanage. The donated items included 45 book cabinets, 23 chairs, and 3 tables, which have been adapted to meet various needs within the orphanages. For instance, several book cabinets are now being used as wardrobes, supporting the daily necessities of both the children and the caretakers.

The handover ceremonies, held on 14 and 15 August, 2025, were attended by President Director, Yasuaki Miyaoka, and Director, Arif Budiman, together with Corporate Secretary, Wasistyo Adi, and members of the CSR committee. Beyond the symbolic handover, the events also included engaging with the children, visiting the facilities where the donated items are being utilized, and distributing meal packages to bring additional joy to the children.

"Mitsui Leasing is committed to making a positive contribution to society and the environment. This CSR initiative is a tangible manifestation of our continuous effort to create meaningful social impact," said Yasuaki Miyaoka, President Director of Mitsui Leasing.

Carrying the theme #EmpoweringThroughSharing, this CSR initiative aims to support the operational needs of orphanages by providing proper infrastructure facilities, while also strengthening the company's commitment to creating social value within the community. This effort is also aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) No. 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, which focuses on improving the quality of infrastructure in social institutions, supporting their operational sustainability, and fostering a better environment for those in need.

"We sincerely hope that the support we have extended will provide tangible benefits for the children in the orphanages and further strengthen the spirit of solidarity and mutual care," said Arif Budiman, Director of Mitsui Leasing.

Through this initiative, Mitsui Leasing aspires not only to support the day-to-day operations of the orphanages, but also to help create an environment in which the children can grow and thrive. For the company, this program represents a reflection of its corporate responsibility and its commitment to continuously deliver initiatives that create meaningful impact.

Moving forward, Mitsui Leasing remains committed to developing CSR programs that not only promote social welfare but also contribute to sustainable development in Indonesia.
