MLCI Gifts 2022: Supporting Noble Missions

‘’Thank God that those who got out from here are successful: there’s one who works in the bank, became a government employee, and an entrepreneur… If we help them, those kids can be successful in the future.’’ said one of the Caretaker of Keluarga Muhammadiyah Orphanage when visited for MLCI Gifts 2022 Program.
Keluarga Muhammadiyah Orphanage is one of the thousands of orphanage and social institutions who needs help.

On the 6th and 7th of December 2022 MLCI once again held the program, MLCI Gifts 2022.
MLCI Gifts program itself is an annual series of Corporate Social Responsibility activities as form of care and way to give back from the Company for Society.

This year, the Company donated a total of Rp 75.000.000,- for 3 social organizations in DKI Jakarta region.
Below is the detail of the organization:

1. Keluarga Muhammadiyah Orphanage (Panti Asuhan Keluarga Muhammadiyah)
   Address: Jl. Rukem II No.13, RT.9/RW.9, Rawamangun, Kec. Pulo Gadung, Kota Jakarta Timur, Daerah Khusus Ibukota Jakarta 13220
   Keluarga Muhammadiyah Orphanage is an orphanage sheltering 16 orphaned boys between the ages of 13 to 18 years old. They are taken care of under the Keluarga Muhammadiyah Organization which also takes care of two other orphanages.
   Not only that, this Organization also funds underprivileged families around the area.
   To support the orphanage’s operational fees as well as the children’s need, MLCI donated a fund of Rp 25.000.000,-.

2. Street Kids Alternative School (Sekolah Alternatif Anak Jalanan)
   Address: Jln. Jemb. Merah No.2, RT.2/RW.5, Karet Kuningan, Kecamatan Setiabudi, Kota Jakarta Selatan, Daerah Khusus Ibukota Jakarta 12940
   Street Kids Alternative School is a non-governmental provider of free education for children from underprivileged families.
   Currently, they provide teaching services, books, pencils, and other schooling needs for 125 Kindergarten and Elementary level children (5-12 years old).
   To support the school’s operational and children education fees, MLCI donated a fund of Rp 25.000.000,-.

3. Peduli Shelter House (Rumah Singgah Peduli)
   Address: Jln. Kernolong Dalam 4 No.6, RW.8, Kenari, Kec. Senen, Kota Jakarta Pusat, Daerah Khusus Ibukota Jakarta 10430
   Peduli Shelter House is a home which shelters underprivileged patients with chronic illnesses (i.e cancer, tumor, or heart diseases) who need a place to stay for when they are appointed from their hometowns to other hospitals in big cities.
   Not only to facilitate a place to stay, this Foundation also provides transportation facilities for hospital travels/emergency ambulance and also regularly holds entertainment programs to cheer up their patients.
   Until now, Peduli Shelter House has a total of 10 branches around Indonesia, sheltering more than 100 patients and their families.
   
   To support the shelter house’s operational fees and to fund for other health facilities needs, MLCI donated a fund of Rp 25.000.000,-.

The symbolic donation handover has also been done, represented by Mr. Naoyuki Akiyama as the President Director of Mitsui Leasing Capital Indonesia.
The Company’s representatives were welcomed warmly when visiting the 3 organizations.
