Enhancing Public Health:
Mitsui Leasing Demonstrates Ongoing Commitment Through Annual Blood Donation Program
PT Mitsui Leasing Capital Indonesia (MLCI) has consistently organized its annual blood donation program as part of the company's commitment to public health and the implementation of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
Carrying the theme "With Blood Donation: You Stay Healthy, They Stay Safe," the event was conducted on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Plaza Bank Index, Thamrin, Central Jakarta. This theme reflects the dual benefit of blood donation: not only does it offer health advantages to the donors, but it also plays a vital role in saving the lives of those in need of blood transfusions.
This initiative was carried out in collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Central Jakarta. The event proceeded in an orderly and efficient manner, supported by the professionalism of medical personnel and the enthusiasm of the participants. A total of 118 individuals registered to donate blood, of which 91 were eligible and successfully completed the donation process. The remaining 27 participants were unable to donate due to health-related reasons identified during the initial screening.
Mr. Wasistyo Adi, Corporate Secretary of Mitsui Leasing, expressed his appreciation for the participation and the collaborative spirit shown by all parties involved.
"We sincerely thank PMI and the organizing committee for their excellent collaboration and commitment in ensuring the success of this year's blood donation drive. The high level of participation is a testament to the enduring spirit of solidarity and social responsibility among our employees and the public," he said.
This blood donation activity aims to help meet the national blood supply, which is still greatly needed by hospitals and patients across Indonesia. In addition to helping others, blood donation offers direct health benefits to donors, such as improving blood circulation and reducing the risk of certain diseases.
From this year's donation results, blood type O was recorded as the most commonly donated blood type. The detailed breakdown of donated blood bags is presented below:
