Introduce Marine Life and Enhance Children's Creativity with Educational Activities at Sea World Ancol
Jakarta, October 31, 2024 – As a gesture of gratitude for the company’s achievements and commitment to social responsibility, PT Mitsui Leasing Capital Indonesia (MLCI) has implemented an event themed Anak Gembira (Happy Children), inviting children from Pondok Asuh Al Farid in Cikarang to participate in an educational tour at Sea World and Ancol Beach.
In this event, a total of 22 children from Pondok Asuh Al Farid were accompanied by 8 adults and 7 MLCI committee members, who attentively guided and supported the children throughout the activities.
Mr. Dandy Kusuma as Corporate Secretary of MLCI, expressed hopes that this program would provide happiness and memorable experiences for children in need of special attention, as well as sustainable benefits for the company.
The Anak Gembira CSR program comprised two activities that combined education and creativity: a visit to Sea World Ancol and a coloring activity at Ancol Beach.
In the first activity, children from Panti Asuhan Al Farid were invited to embark on an educational tour to Sea World Ancol. During this visit, they were introduced to a variety of marine animals and underwater ecosystems. Accompanied by an educational guide provided by Ancol, the children received comprehensive explanations about the diverse species inhabiting marine environments, ranging from smaller fish to apex predators such as sharks. A major highlight of the tour was observing the shark feeding attraction, a show that remains a favorite among Sea World Ancol visitors.
After visiting Sea World Ancol, the children continued with an activity at Ancol Beach, where they engaged in coloring illustrations of marine animals. Provided with pre-drawn images of marine creatures such as fish, turtles, and jellyfish, the children were encouraged to deepen their connection with the marine life concepts they had just explored. Set against the refreshing atmosphere of the beach, this activity also served to cultivate their creativity.
The Anak Gembira program unfolded in an atmosphere of joy and warmth. The children from Pondok Asuh Al-Farid participated with enthusiasm and evident happiness. Bright smiles illuminated their faces, expressing their joy and gratitude for the care and attention extended by MLCI.
"I never imagined I’d be able to take the children on a trip to Ancol. Alhamdulillah, now I can see their smiles as they play here," said Mr. Edi, founder of Pondok Asuh Al-Farid with emotion. Seeing the joy and laughter of the children in his care as they explore Sea World and enjoy the beach atmosphere brings him a happiness all its own.
This event brought not only happiness but also created a meaningful and memorable experience. It is hoped that this initiative will serve as a lasting reminder for the company to continue its contributions to society and to foster meaningful change, regardless of the scale of each endeavor.
