MLCI Gifts 2021: For Better Health, Education, and Prosperous Life

Jakarta – As a form of PT Mitsui Leasing Capital Indonesia’s duty to the society, the Company has done a corporate social responsibility through its CSR donation program for 2021. This CSR activity is also regulated in UU no. 40/2007 and POJK no. 30/2014 regarding corporate social responsibility. This year, PT Mitsui Leasing Capital Indonesia donated a nominal of Rp 75.000.000,- to three foundations in need around Jakarta area.

1. Yayasan Talenta Kasih
   Address: Jln. Pangkalan Asem Raya no.2, RT.01/RW.14, Cempaka Putih Barat, Cempaka Putih, Jakarta Pusat, Daerah Khusus Ibukota Jakarta 10520.
   Yayasan Talenta Kasih is a private orphanage sheltering 20 orphaned children between the age of 15 to 18 years old. The home they live in is an old building, which needs renovations due to the broken floor tiles, leaking roof, and collapsed doors. Despite it all, the children living there as cheerful as ever. They gladly showed us around, showing the little garden of plants they have on the rooftop and told stories of their attempts in baking. To support the children’s dreams, the Rp 25.000.000,- fund donated from MLCI will be used for house reparations and the children’s living cost.
2. Sekolah Alternatif Anak Jalanan
   Address: Jln. Jemb. Merah No.2, RT.2/RW.5, Karet Kuningan, Kecamatan Setiabudi, Kota Jakarta Selatan, Daerah Khusus Ibukota Jakarta 12940
   Sekolah Alternatif Anak Jalanan is a non-governmental free education services for young children who came from impoverished families. Currently, they provide teaching services, books, and other schooling facilities for 125 kindergarten and elementary level students (5-12 years old). The Rp 25.000.000,- fund donated from MLCI will be used for school operational fees and facility reparations.
3. Rumah Singgah Peduli
   Address: Jln. Kernolong Dalam 4 No.6, RW.8, Kenari, Kec. Senen, Kota Jakarta Pusat, Daerah Khusus Ibukota Jakarta 10430
   Rumah Singgah Peduli is a house which shelters impoverished patients with chronic illnesses (i.e., cancer, tumor, and heart disease) from out of town who need a place to stay while getting treatment from hospitals in big cities. Rumah Singgah Peduli has 10 branches across Indonesia — in which hosts around 100 patients and their families. All patients welcomed us with smiles despite sharing the stories of hardships they had to go through to fight their illness. The Rp 25.000.000,- fund donated from MLCI will be used to pay the shelter house’s rent fee.
   A symbolic donation handover is held on 7–8 December 2021 with PT Mitsui Leasing Capital Indonesia’s President Director, Mr. Gen Horie, as the representative. In the future, PT Mitsui Leasing Capital Indonesia wishes to continue supporting these foundations in need and do our part in contributing for the better of the society.
