Farewell and Welcome Ceremony for the President Director of MLCI 2024: A Moment of Joy and Warmth
On Thursday, September 12, 2024, PT Mitsui Leasing Capital Indonesia officially held a Farewell and Welcome Ceremony for the President Director, marking the farewell of President Director Naoyuki Akiyama, who has completed his term in Indonesia, while also welcoming Yasuaki Miyaoka as the new leader of the company. Members of the Board of Commissioners (BOC), Board of Directors (BOD), and other executives at MLCI's Head Office attended to celebrate the event. The ceremony was held at Walking Drums Ancol, a restaurant with a refreshing vibe and stunning beachfront views, making it a relaxed and semi-formal setting for this special occasion.
The choice of kimono worn by the MC made the moment even more special. As a strong element of Japanese culture, the kimono reconnects with MLCI’s identity, which is rooted in Japan. Meanwhile, the participants dressed in MLCI’s blue vests not only presented a professional appearance but also reinforced a sense of togetherness among all attendees.
The event commenced with a performance of three traditional Indonesian dances, showcasing the richness of local culture. This was followed by an opening speech from Mr. Denny Dilham, Executive Director of MLCI, who explained the purpose of the event.
Next, to honor Mr. Akiyama's contributions and hard work, a farewell video was shown that included messages from all MLCI employees. Four employee representatives were invited on stage to share their thoughts and appreciation directly with Mr. Akiyama. A symbolic of awarding a plaque and gifts was also presented by Mr. Miyaoka to Mr. Akiyama.
After the symbolic activities, Mr. Miyaoka had the opportunity to give a speech describing Mr. Akiyama as someone who is very detail-oriented in his work. This was followed by Mr. Akiyama's speech, in which he expressed his gratitude and farewell to all employees, encouraging them to continue growing and developing MLCI into a trusted financing company.
After the official event session, a fun game session began. It started with the game "Odd and Even" as an icebreaker game and encouraged interaction among participants. This was followed by the first game, "Who Knows Better?." Interestingly, Mr. Akiyama and Mr. Miyaoka competed to see who could better identify the images shown on the screen. This game created lighthearted moments filled with laughter.
The second game was "Maumere," which involved all employees. This game became one of the liviest moments of the event, as all participants joined in for a fun and joyful experience. It wrapped up the event with energy and enthusiasm, reinforcing the solidarity among the entire MLCI team.
The event wrapped up with a photo session along with the beautiful view of Ancol beach that afternoon, followed by a dinner together. All participants not only enjoyed the delicious dishes but also sang, danced, and laughed together. With a joyful atmosphere and a sense of unity, this occasion became a warm farewell to Mr. Naoyuki Akiyama and a welcoming moment for MLCI as it begins a new chapter with Mr. Yasuaki Miyaoka.
